TI's FPD-Link (Flat Panel Display Link) technology is designed for high-speed, long-distance video transmission and has the following characteristics in AGVs/robots:
Anti-interference Transmission: Transmits uncompressed video data via coaxial cables or twisted - pair wires. The maximum distance can reach 15 meters (FPD-Link III), suitable for the electromagnetic interference environment of factories.
Multi-camera Synchronization: Supports multiple cameras to transmit through a single link, reducing wiring complexity (e.g., 4 cameras sharing 1 cable).
Low Latency and High Bandwidth: Supports 720p/1080p@60fps video streams, meeting the requirements of real-time decision-making (such as obstacle avoidance response time < 100ms).
Power and Data Integration (PoC): Supplies power via coaxial cables (Power over Coax), reducing the need for independent power cables and simplifying system integration.
