Palm Vein Recognition
Product image
Palm vein recognition technology is a type of biometric recognition technology within artificial intelligence technologies. It works by leveraging the fact that the capillaries in our palms have a relatively strong absorption of infrared rays. When the palm is irradiated with near-infrared light, the resulting palm image will show relatively dark patterns at the subcutaneous veins, and this technology is used to identify identities.
Performance Benefits
  • Belongs to internal physiological features, won't be worn out, is rather difficult to forge, and has high security.
  • Vascular features are usually more distinct, easy to identify, and have good anti-interference performance.
  • Can achieve non-contact measurement, has good hygiene, and is easy for users to accept.
  • Not easily affected by scars or oil stains on the hand surface.
  • Palm veins may still change with age and physiological changes, but the amount of change is extremely small and takes a long time. AI algorithms can self-learn and adjust, which is far easier for self-learning than dealing with different lighting environments, twins and makeup in face recognition technology for cameras.
